A peek into our history
Thank you to the archivists at archive.org for what you do. As a franchisee in the Arthur Murray organization any opportunity to see Arthur and Kathryn is a real treat. Unfortunately, the majority of the old footage is tied up in a private estate and so, even for the owners of the dance schools, we don't ever get a chance to see any of the footage.
I'm hoping that one day the matter is settled and everything is shared here on this site so dancers and non-dancers can enjoy it.
Thanks for reading

Television!!!
In the opening segment, A man pretends to be a lighthouse and various other things. It's quite fun to watch!
The commercials are typical examples of 1950s conformity!
'
The competition between the singers is one of the whitest things I've ever seen!
That comedy sketch is pure cornball, but fun to watch.
I must admit I don't recognize what either of the two "mystery dances" are.
By the way, did you know this series switched network several times? It first aired on ABC. Then it moved to quirky DuMont. Then back to ABC. It then went to the big-budget CBS. Then back again to low-budget DuMont. Of course, then it went yet again on CBS. After this, it moved to the ever-popular NBC. Then, it went back to the tiffany network CBS. Finally, it went back to the peacock network aka NBC. Got all that?
